Wallpaper - Conoid Grain, Cerulian Blue

Our Conoid Grain wallpaper in Cerulean Blue brings the fluid, rhythmic beauty of woodgrain into a striking, cool-toned palette. Designed by Wallism Studio, the motif draws visual inspiration from the organic contours of timber grain, rendered with deep navy and petrol blue linework over a subtle cerulean and teal-tinted background. The vertical flow of the rings and grain creates an engaging, undulating visual texture across the surface. Made-to-measure and PVC-free, this wallpaper is easy to hang and adds a rich layer of graphic depth to any interior wall.

In the room

We like how the strong vertical grain in this design lends a sense of height and continuous flow to an interior. Because the repeat combines fine parallel lines with wider, looping contours, it functions beautifully across a prominent feature wall in a living room behind a low-backed sofa or along a dining room wall. In an entryway or hallway, the flowing grain guides the eye naturally through the space. The design holds its presence well across both smaller, enclosed walls and broader, uninterrupted surfaces where the full rhythm of the pattern can unfold.

Styling it

The cool blue tones and organic linework create a natural bridge between graphic modernity and organic mid-century design. We would pair this wallpaper with warm wood tones, such as oiled walnut, teak, or mid-tone oak, which provide a rich visual contrast to the deep cerulean base. Upholstery in warm neutrals, charcoal, or textured navy anchors the room without fighting the fine grain pattern. Keeping large furniture pieces relatively simple in form allows the vertical movement of the wallpaper to remain the central decorative focus.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centres on shades of cerulean blue, muted teal, slate, and deep ink navy. When selecting surrounding wall paint, cabinetry, or trim, warm off-whites, crisp alabaster, and soft greys keep the surrounding atmosphere open and balanced. For a moodier, enveloping scheme, deep marine navy or slate charcoal on adjacent woodwork echoes the darker lines of the grain. If you want to introduce accent tones through smaller decor, warm amber, mustard, or muted terracotta provide a classic complementary contrast to the cool blue backdrop.
