Wallpaper - Grain Clad, Teal

Our Grain Clad, Teal wallpaper brings the organic movement of vertical timber cladding into a deep, moody palette. The design features wide vertical wood grain planks with subtle variation across each board, showing fine swirls, rings, and natural grain textures rendered in muted dark teal, slate, and charcoal undertones. The overall scale is restrained and continuous, offering a rich architectural backdrop that introduces depth without overpowering a room. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made to measure to fit your exact wall dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

We especially like how this design grounds larger living rooms or open-plan areas when used across an expansive feature wall. The vertical paneling effect creates a steady upward rhythm that can visually complement standard or higher ceilings. In a bedroom or a dedicated study, wrapping the wall behind a bed or desk gives the space an intimate, enveloping character. Because the teal tones are deep and low in contrast, the wallpaper holds together quietly across a wider wall without feeling chaotic or busy. In spaces with ample natural daylight, the subtler transitions in the wood grain pattern become more discernible, while warmer evening lighting brings out the moodier slate undertones.

Styling it

To balance the deep teal and wood grain structure, we suggest introducing materials and silhouettes that let the wall remain the primary texture in the space.

• Combine the wallpaper with warm timber furniture, such as natural oak or walnut, to create a pleasing organic contrast against the cool-toned wood grain.
• Bring in textiles in warm neutral tones like oatmeal, sand, or soft cream to lift the darker palette and keep the seating area inviting.
• Accent the room with brushed brass or matte black lighting fixtures, which mirror the architectural lines of the vertical planks.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a foundation of deep ocean teal, muted pine green, and soft charcoal-black grain lines. When planning surrounding wall paint and woodwork, we recommend pairing it with muted warm off-whites or soft greiges on adjacent walls to maintain an airy balance. For a more dramatic, tonal atmosphere, you could echo the deeper palette with dark forest green, smoky blue, or charcoal painted trim and cabinetry.
