Wallpaper - Southern Pride Sayings Howdy Yall

Our Southern Pride Sayings Howdy Yall wallpaper brings graphic Americana style straight to the wall with bold typography and a screenprint-inspired character. Created by Michael Mullan, this design features the greeting "Howdy Y'all!" divided across a dynamic diagonal composition. The warm yellow lettering of "Howdy" sits against a deep forest green section, while "Y'all!" stands out in a rich brick red across a clean off-white field. Distressed, weathered visual textures give the entire piece a vintage, poster-style appeal with strong graphic presence. Like all of our wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure according to your wall dimensions and produced on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

Because of its bold lettering and clear diagonal divide, this design naturally functions as a focal point in a space. We like it especially on an accent wall in an entryway, where the welcoming greeting sets an immediate, lively tone as soon as you step inside. In a den or living room, we would place this wall mural behind a lower-profile sofa or along an open wall where the full typography and diagonal layout can remain visible without being obscured by high shelving or tall storage. The graphic style also feels right at home in a relaxed cabin or lodge setting, bringing a playful, rustic warmth to shared seating areas.

Styling it

To keep the room balanced, we suggest pairing this graphic wallpaper with grounded, straightforward furniture. Warm wood furniture, such as natural pine, honeyed oak, or reclaimed timber, complements the rustic, poster-like look without competing for visual attention. In terms of metal accents, matte black hardware or oil-rubbed bronze finishes echo the vintage print aesthetic nicely. We recommend keeping surrounding decorative items relatively clean in form so the strong typography and angular split on the wall remain the primary focus of the room.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is anchored by deep forest green, brick red, warm golden yellow, and an off-white background. When choosing colors for adjoining walls, trim, or nearby cabinetry, a warm off-white or soft cream provides a natural, clean transition that lets the mural wallpapers stand out. If you prefer deeper tones, pulling the muted forest green onto woodwork or surrounding baseboards creates a cozy, enclosed feel. For soft furnishings or accents, muted mustard yellow or warm rust-red tones tie directly back into the printed lettering while keeping the palette cohesive.
