Wallpaper - Mavericks, Sapphire

Our Mavericks, Sapphire wallpaper captures the raw energy of ocean waves crashing and curling in a graphic, ink-drawing style. Fine line work details the surging crests and frothing white spray, creating a rhythmic composition against a deep sapphire blue sea. The bold contrast gives the ocean seascape a striking presence on the wall while retaining an illustrated, artistic character. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure according to your dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We love how the continuous horizontal rhythm of these cresting waves grounds a room. In a bathroom, powder room, or poolhouse, our wallpaper brings a fresh maritime character that feels distinct and graphic rather than purely scenic. It also works beautifully on an accent wall in a living room, bedroom, or vacation home, where the repeating white foam and deep blue backdrop draw focus across the length of the space. Because the line work is detailed across the waves, giving the design an uninterrupted wall allows the sweeping curves and varying crests to display their full movement.

Styling it

When styling around this design, we prefer to balance the dynamic wave illustration with grounded, tactile elements that soften the graphic contrast.

• Pair the deep sapphire ocean tones with warm, natural wood furniture or woven rattan to bring warmth into the room.
• Keep surrounding textiles and upholstery relatively understated in solid off-white, cream, or sand tones so the wave pattern remains the visual hero.
• Introduce brushed brass or matte dark metal hardware to echo the clean, expressive lines of the ink drawing.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centres on rich sapphire and ocean blues offset by crisp white and soft seafoam highlights. For adjoining painted walls, cabinetry, or woodwork, we recommend clean off-white or light chalky neutrals to keep the overall atmosphere open and airy. If you want to lean into a moodier look, matching the adjacent walls or trim to a deep navy or muted slate blue creates an enveloping, cohesive space where the white crests stand out vividly.
