Wallpaper - Vintage Bakery Sign

Our Vintage Bakery Sign wallpaper, designed by Michael Mullan, captures the charm of mid-century Americana with classic graphic lettering, decorative striping, and a small cupcake emblem. Rendered with the visual character of a 1950s block print, the design pairs earthy forest green and warm rust tones against a stone gray ground. We produce our wallpapers made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, making them simple to hang and easy to align across your space.

In the room

Because of its distinctive graphic presence, we see this wall mural working particularly well in culinary areas where you want to introduce nostalgic character. In a kitchen, pantry, or breakfast nook, the design creates an engaging focal point behind open shelving or a small dining table. For a dedicated dining room, giving the wallpaper a central, unobstructed wall lets the full typography and balanced framing take center stage. The earthy, muted palette keeps the Americana graphics grounded, allowing the wallpaper to feel warm rather than overwhelming in daily living spaces.

Styling it

To complement the retro mid-century aesthetic of this design, we suggest pairing it with warm wood furniture, such as honey pine, aged maple, or natural oak dining pieces. Simple enameled kitchenware, cast iron details, and cream-painted cabinetry harmonize naturally with the block-print look without competing with the bold central lettering.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centers on stone gray, deep forest green, and weathered rust. To create a cohesive look across adjacent walls or surrounding trim, consider soft off-white, light warm gray, or muted moss tones. If you want to lean into the vintage warmth, rich terracotta or deep forest green on neighboring doors and skirting boards will echo the primary hues of the artwork.
