Wallpaper - Wild Horses II - Watercolor Spirit Animals Series

A group of galloping horses moves across this design with fluid energy, captured in loose watercolor strokes and expressive paint splatters. Created by Wai Collective, our Wild Horses II wallpaper pairs earthy chestnut brown, warm tan, and soft white tones across an open backdrop, giving the scene a light and dynamic rhythm. The delicate washes and flowing outlines celebrate the spirit of wild animals in a relaxed, painterly style. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper texture.

In the room

Because the horses carry a distinct horizontal movement across the wall, we like giving this design an uninterrupted surface where the full group can run freely. In a living room or bedroom, it works particularly well as a focal wall behind a low sofa or headboard, keeping the visual weight balanced. The open spacing around the figures also makes it adaptable for a home office, study, or entryway, where the motif brings an organic feel without overwhelming the space. In rooms with ample natural daylight, the gentle variations in the watercolor washes and splatters become especially noticeable.

Styling it

The fluid, painterly nature of this design pairs naturally with rustic, farmhouse, or Southwestern interior styles. We suggest keeping larger furniture relatively understated in form so the movement of the horses remains the centerpiece of the room. Warm wood finishes, such as honey pine or aged oak, complement the earthy brown palette nicely, while brushed bronze or blackened iron accents echo the darker contours of the artwork. Simple, textured woven textiles in muted oatmeal or unbleached cotton help ground the space and maintain an inviting, organic atmosphere.

Colour combinations

The motif centers on earthy chestnut brown, soft tan, warm ochre washes, and clean white highlights. To complement these shades, we recommend surrounding the wallpaper with neutral wall paint in warm sand, gentle linen, or muted off-white. For cabinetry, trim, or larger accent pieces, deeper earthy tones like terracotta, warm taupe, or dark espresso brown echo the darker brushstrokes and anchor the room comfortably.
