Wallpaper - Block Print Water Lily Stripes, Pink

Our Block Print Water Lily Stripes wallpaper by RNM Arts brings a rhythmic botanical motif together with the crafted look of traditional block printing. Stylised pink water lilies, delicate buds, and muted green lily pads fan outward in a structured vertical arrangement across a dark, charcoal-black background with subtle visual brush texture. The vertical stripe layout gives the floral pattern an orderly, architectural cadence while preserving the soft, organic charm of the blooms. Made-to-measure and completely PVC-free, our wallpaper is printed on paper featuring a subtle surface structure that lends gentle depth to every panel.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working beautifully in spaces where you want to introduce pattern with a composed, intimate mood. In a bedroom or guest room, placing the design on the wall behind the headboard creates an anchoring feature without overwhelming the room, as the vertical rhythm guides the eye upward and emphasizes ceiling height. It also functions wonderfully in an entryway or powder room, where the contrast between the dark ground and dusty pink petals turns a smaller space into a jewel-box moment. Because the floral motifs are organised into repeating vertical stripes rather than an all-over dense tangle, you can easily use it on wider uninterrupted living room walls or wrap it around multiple walls in a dining area.

Styling it

To complement the rich dark background and delicate botanical illustration, we suggest balancing the space with warm, grounded elements:

• Pair the wallpaper with warm, mid-tone to dark wood furniture, such as walnut or vintage mahogany, which naturally echoes the heritage feel of block print motifs.
• Incorporate matte black metal hardware or muted antique brass lighting fixtures to subtly pick up on the deep backdrop and warm floral undertones.
• Use natural, tactile upholstery and drapery in unbleached linen, dusty rose, or mossy olive tones to harmonize with the lily petals and pads.

Colour combinations

The palette of this design is anchored by a deep charcoal-black ground, softened by dusty mauve-pink water lilies and earthy, muted olive-green foliage. When choosing surrounding wall paints or larger decorative pieces, we recommend soft neutral tones such as warm chalky white, muted stone, or gentle beige to keep adjacent surfaces quiet and allow the wallpaper to take centre stage. For a moodier, monochromatic scheme, a deep charcoal paint on adjacent trim and doors creates seamless continuity. Alternatively, introducing accents of muted olive green or dusky blush pulls directly from the floral details and ties the entire room together.
