Wallpaper - Mindscape II

Mindscape II by Courtney Prahl brings an expressive collage aesthetic to the wall, combining horizontal bands of light brown and kraft paper tones with bold charcoal and chalky white blocks. The composition builds depth through visible brushwork, textured paint overlays, and raw geometric cutouts that overlap across a canvas-grained background. We produce our mural wallpapers made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, creating an artistic backdrop that balances graphic definition with warm neutral tones.

In the room

In a living room, this mural wallpaper works exceptionally well across a wide, uninterrupted wall behind a low-profile sofa. Because the horizontal paper-like strips stretch across the composition, having ample wall width allows the full balance between the dark charcoal fields and pale beige sections to unfold naturally. In a home office or study, positioning the design behind a desk creates a focused, architectural backdrop that feels structured without overpowering the space.

Styling it

We recommend pairing this design with contemporary or organic modern furnishings that echo its understated neutral palette. Low-slung furniture with clean lines keeps the horizontal movement in the wallpaper visible, while matte black metal hardware or lighting fixtures pick up on the deep charcoal brushwork. Unfinished light oak or ash furniture introduces a complementary natural warmth that mirrors the tan paper strips in the collage.

Colour combinations

The design is built around deep charcoal black, chalky white, warm beige, and light kraft brown. When decorating around the wallpaper, we suggest keeping surrounding painted walls in soft off-white, pale linen, or warm stone to maintain an airy continuity. For accent pieces or nearby woodwork, dark espresso or matte black finishes help ground the room by drawing out the boldest painted shapes.
