Wallpaper - Paris Skyline Concrete

In this design by Michael Tompsett, the iconic Parisian skyline stretches across a weathered concrete-like background in bold charcoal tones. Famous architectural silhouettes, including the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Sacré-Cœur, and Notre-Dame, merge into a continuous urban horizon anchored by expressive ink splatters and paint drips below. The textured neutral backdrop softens the strong graphic contrast, giving the architectural skyline a distinctly modern, artistic feel. Our wallpapers are made-to-measure to fit your room dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

Because the skyline runs horizontally across the middle of the composition, we like this design best on a wider, uninterrupted accent wall where the entire architectural panorama can unfold. In a living room, placing it behind a low-backed sofa preserves the full silhouette of the monuments while anchoring the seating area. It also works naturally in a study or home office, where the calm, monochromatic palette adds visual interest without cluttering the working environment. The open neutral space above the skyline allows rooms with standard or higher ceilings to feel balanced and airy.

Styling it

To complement the graphic nature of the Paris skyline, we suggest keeping surrounding furniture relatively clean-lined and understated. Contemporary pieces in matte black, charcoal, or muted neutral upholstery echo the urban aesthetic without competing with the ink-splattered motif. Warm, unvarnished wood tones or lightly brushed metal accents help soften the stark contrast between the deep charcoal silhouette and the warm gray concrete background.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper centers on deep charcoal gray and softer off-black silhouettes set against a warm, stone-gray textured backdrop. To build a cohesive room palette, pair it with adjacent walls painted in pale stone, warm off-white, or muted light gray. For stronger visual depth, dark graphite or charcoal trim can frame the mural beautifully, while subtle warm accents in muted ochre or taupe bridge the gap between the concrete tones and surrounding decor.
