Wallpaper - Misty Forest

Our Misty Forest wallpaper, created by artist Julia Purinton, captures a tranquil woodland landscape shrouded in gentle haze. What we particularly like about this design is the painterly depth, where darker evergreen pine tops in the foreground gradually dissolve into soft, muted layers of misty teal and pale atmospheric tones above. The painted brushwork gives the tree silhouettes a soft, impressionistic character that feels organic and expansive on a large surface. Made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it brings a calm natural scenery into your home.

In the room

Because of the atmospheric vertical gradient, from rich forest green at the base to airy, pale mist towards the top, we see this wall mural working exceptionally well in spaces meant for rest and reflection. In a bedroom, placing it behind a bed creates a grounding backdrop that still keeps the upper portion of the room visually light and open. It is also well suited to a home library or dedicated meditation room, where the panoramic landscape adds depth without cluttering the visual field. On a wider uninterrupted wall, the full layered horizon has ample space to unfold, though the soft transitions between the trees ensure the motif remains cohesive even if partly framed by lower furniture.

Styling it

The impressionistic, painterly texture pairs naturally with interiors that appreciate classic, heritage, or timeless aesthetics. We recommend keeping surrounding furniture relatively calm and grounded to complement the artwork's quiet character.

Warm wood furniture, such as antique cherry or warm walnut, provides a handsome balance against the cool mist and pine greens. Linen bedding or curtains in natural, undyed tones introduce a soft material connection that harmonizes with the brushed visual feel of the forest canopy.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper is anchored by deep forest green and pine tones, surrounded by washed teal, pale sage, and soft off-white mist.

To create a balanced setting, we would pair it with warm neutrals on adjoining walls, such as soft cream, warm linen, or pale stone, which echo the upper misty light. For a richer, more enveloping feel, dark forest green or deep spruce on woodwork and trims can frame the landscape beautifully while echoing the deep pines in the foreground.
