Wallpaper - Sinuous Ceres, Soft Fawn

Our Sinuous Ceres, Soft Fawn wallpaper by Marta Cortese brings the gentle rhythm of wild grasses and meadow grains directly into the room. Rising upwards from the bottom of the wall, the composition balances curving ribbons of grass blades with delicate seedheads against a warm, calm fawn background. We particularly like how the soft fawn, beige, and deeper muted brown tones create visual movement across the lower half of the wall while leaving the upper section airy and open. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made to measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper texture.

In the room

Because the botanical elements rise from the base and thin out toward the top, we see this working beautifully in a bedroom behind a headboard or along a dining room wall. In spaces where low furniture sits against the wall, such as behind a sofa or credenza, the taller seedheads continue to reach upward into clear view without feeling crowded. The vertical movement of the grasses also makes it a natural fit for rooms with standard ceiling heights where you want to draw the eye softly upward.

For living areas and bedrooms, we would often place this mural wallpaper on a main feature wall where the horizontal span of the meadow can unfold uninterrupted. In a home office or hallway, where walls might be more fragmented, the light background helps maintain a bright and spacious visual feel.

Styling it

We would keep the surrounding interior warm and grounded, echoing the earthy tones of the meadow illustration.

• Low-profile furniture in natural wood, such as white oak, warm ash, or light walnut, allows the grass stems at the base of the wall to integrate naturally with the room.
• Woven textures like bouclé, unbleached linen, and soft wool rugs bring out the organic, illustrative character of the design without competing with its delicate line work.
• Muted bronze, brushed brass, or matte black accents in lighting and hardware provide subtle definition against the lighter background.

Colour combinations

The palette of the design is built on soft fawn, warm cream, warm beige, and accents of deep taupe and brown. When planning adjacent walls and woodwork, we recommend pairing this wallpaper with soft off-whites, warm alabaster, or creamy stone shades to keep the room cohesive and serene. If you want more contrast on surrounding woodwork or cabinetry, earthy cocoa, rich taupe, or deep warm brown tones will pick up the darkest shades within the grass blades beautifully.
