Wallpaper - Ice Blue Summer

In our Ice Blue Summer wallpaper by artist Danhui Nai, clustered blue hydrangeas bloom across an Impressionist-inspired garden scene. Painted in soft watercolor washes, the petals blend tones of cornflower, sky blue, and delicate pale tints against layered green foliage and an airy, diffused background. What we especially like about this design is how the painterly brushstrokes give the floral meadow a light, breezy presence on the wall without feeling overly formal. Like all Wallism mural wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure according to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

Because the hydrangea blooms are clustered toward the lower foreground and dissolve into softer brushwork toward the top, we love using this design on a main wall in a bedroom or living room. Placed behind a bed headboard or a low-backed sofa, the denser flower heads ground the lower portion of the wall while the lighter upper strokes keep the room feeling open and serene. It also works beautifully in a dedicated reading nook or meditation room, where the gentle watercolor tones bring a quiet botanical feel to the space. If your room features generous natural daylight, the subtle tonal shifts between the cool blues and muted sage greens become especially lively.

Styling it

To let the watercolor artwork remain the visual centerpiece, we suggest pairing this mural with understated furnishings that carry simple, classic silhouettes. Furniture painted in antique off-white or crafted from pale natural wood balances the cool tones of the petals without competing for attention. In terms of textiles, soft natural weaves in neutral tones or washed blue accents help carry the garden aesthetic into the rest of the room. This design feels right at home in traditional heritage interiors, relaxed coastal settings, or modern country homes that celebrate classic botanical themes.

Colour combinations

The design itself features a palette of cornflower blue, ice blue, and soft white highlights nestled among sage, olive, and deep forest greens. Around the wallpaper, we recommend working with creamy chalk whites or soft linen tones on adjacent walls and woodwork to maintain a bright, balanced backdrop. If you prefer a richer interior scheme, pulling the muted moss green or dusty cornflower blue into painted trim, built-in shelving, or upholstered seating creates a beautifully coordinated, enveloping feel.
