Wallpaper - Paisley Thoughts Orange

Our Paisley Thoughts Orange wallpaper, created by Danhui Nai, brings a warm 1960s retro character to the wall with its repeating paisley motifs and cheerful detailing. Set against a warm burnt orange backdrop with a subtle textile-inspired visual grain, each curved paisley teardrop features layered turquoise, soft lime green, and delicate blue floral accents. The neat vertical rhythm creates a balanced, whimsical pattern that feels lively without overwhelming the room. Like all of our wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to your dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

We see this design working especially well in lively spaces such as a playroom, a toddler's room, or an engaging family area where you want to introduce cheerful color and vintage personality. Because the paisley elements are arranged in an orderly vertical repeat rather than a dense tangle, the pattern stays clear across both small accent walls and larger continuous wall surfaces. In a playroom, placing the wallpaper across a main activity wall creates an inviting focal point behind open shelving or lower play tables. The energetic contrast between the burnt orange base and turquoise details gives the entire space an uplifting, warm atmosphere throughout the day.

Styling it

To complement the retro personality of this mural wallpaper, we suggest pairing it with simple, light wood furniture or painted white pieces that allow the orange and turquoise tones to take center stage. Clean-lined mid-century or Scandinavian-inspired furniture shapes work particularly well here, balancing the ornate curves of the paisley teardrops with uncluttered silhouettes. For accents and textiles, incorporating solid turquoise or soft cream cushions and rugs helps tie the room together while keeping visual clutter to a minimum.

Colour combinations

The design is built on a rich burnt orange background, accented with bright turquoise, sky blue, muted lime green, and soft golden ochre within each paisley form. When choosing surrounding wall paint, trim, or larger decor, soft warm whites and muted creams provide a calm counterbalance to the vibrant ground. For a bolder look that mirrors the motif, you can bring in touches of turquoise, deep teal, or soft sage on painted woodwork, shelving, or adjacent walls.
