Wallpaper - Tallinn Estonia Skyline Black & White

Our Tallinn Estonia Skyline Black & White wallpaper by Michael Tompsett captures the distinct architectural silhouette of Tallinn across a striking monochrome composition. The design sets the city's historic spires, domes, and modern towers in deep charcoal and black against an open white backdrop, grounded by ink-splatter and watercolor-inspired textures along the lower edge. What we particularly appreciate about this mural wallpaper is the balance between sharp skyline geometry and expressive, painterly drips. Our wallpapers are made-to-measure to fit your exact wall dimensions and are produced on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure that makes installation straightforward.

In the room

Because the artwork features a strong horizontal focal point with generous open space above and below, we see this working exceptionally well along a wider uninterrupted wall in a living room or home office. Placing the skyline along a main wall behind a low sofa or a desk allows the iconic silhouette to anchor the room without feeling visually crowded. The high contrast between the dark ink-like skyline and the crisp background brings a graphic presence to the space, creating a considered feature wall that naturally draws the eye across the room.

Styling it

The clean graphic nature of this cityscape pairs naturally with minimalist and contemporary interiors where structural lines and monochrome palettes lead the scheme.

We would keep surrounding furniture relatively low and sleek, opting for matte black metal accents, slim shelving, or dark painted wood to echo the charcoal tones in the print. To balance the stark contrast of the black and white motif, incorporate softer textural layers such as woven wool cushions, smooth stone surfaces, or a quiet gray area rug. This keeps the room grounded and cohesive while letting the architectural artwork remain the central focus.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a focused palette of rich black, deep charcoal gray, and crisp white.

When planning the surrounding space, we suggest pairing it with clean off-white or light gray on adjacent painted walls to maintain an airy, cohesive environment. If you want to introduce more depth or subtle warmth around the room, soft muted neutrals like slate, taupe, or deep ash work beautifully without distracting from the graphic character of the skyline.
