Wallpaper - Newfoundland Harbour

Our Newfoundland Harbour wallpaper captures a tranquil coastal scene photographed by Jim Wiebe, bringing the quiet character of maritime life to the wall. White and red timber buildings sit along the waterfront, balanced by weathered wooden boats resting near docks, stacked lobster traps, and a distinct red barn set against rugged rocky hills. The clear blue sky and calm coastal water establish an open horizontal composition, while earthy tones and authentic harbor details provide rich scenic depth. Made to measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, this mural wallpaper is straightforward to hang and easy to adapt to your wall dimensions.

In the room

Because of the photographic depth and panoramic harbor composition, we particularly like this design on a wider, uninterrupted wall where the full landscape can unfold naturally. In an open living space, lake house, or vacation home, placing this design behind a low sofa or along a main dining wall keeps the waterfront horizon visible across the room. The balance between open blue water and detailed village architecture gives the scenery presence without overwhelming the space, making it a natural choice for an accent wall where you want an authentic outdoor view.

Styling it

To let the detailed coastal scenery take center stage, we suggest pairing this design with simple furniture shapes and understated surrounding materials.

• Choose natural wood furniture with warm or weathered finishes that echo the timber docks, boats, and rustic harbor architecture.
• Keep upholstered seating and large rugs in neutral woven textures such as unbleached cotton or plain wool, letting the scenic details provide the visual focus.
• Incorporate simple matte iron or brushed metal accents in light fixtures and hardware to complement the traditional maritime character.

Colour combinations

The palette is built around the deep and mid blues of the calm sea and sky, balanced by earthy coastal tones, weathered greys, and the warm red accents of the waterfront buildings. Around this design, we recommend keeping adjacent walls in soft off-white, light chalky grey, or gentle sandy beige to maintain an airy, coastal feel. For painted cabinetry or furniture, deep navy, slate, or a muted barn red can pick up the key tones in the scene and create a cohesive room scheme.
