Wallpaper - Nara Heritage

Our Nara Heritage wallpaper, designed by Julia Dreams, brings together rhythmic Arts and Crafts geometry with classic floral motifs. Symmetrical curves and stylized botanical elements interlock in deep navy blue against a soft cream background, creating a balanced visual repeat with a woven, textile-inspired character. The disciplined symmetry and rich contrast give the pattern a refined, architectural presence on the wall. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure.

In the room

The structured repeat makes Nara Heritage particularly versatile across both grand and intimate spaces. In a dining room, we love how the rhythmic geometry frames a dining table and creates a sense of occasion without overwhelming the space. In a living room, it works wonderfully across a wide feature wall behind a sofa or across all four walls of a formal sitting area to create an enveloping, classic atmosphere. Because the pattern relies on a continuous, interlacing grid, it holds its composition well on walls with doors or windows, maintaining its visual order even where the surface is broken up.

Styling it

To complement the historic, decorative nature of this design, we suggest pairing it with clean, deliberate furnishings that respect its detailed geometry:

• Ground the deep navy tones with warm wood furniture, such as medium-toned walnut or rich antique timber, which adds natural warmth against the crisp pattern.
• Choose upholstered seating in solid, textured fabrics like bouclé or matte velvet in off-white, taupe, or soft ochre to provide a quiet counterbalance to the intricate repeat.
• Introduce subtle antique brass or brushed bronze lighting and hardware, which naturally echo the heritage feel without competing for visual attention.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper centres on deep navy blue set against an ivory-cream ground, with subtle tonal variations in the ink that hint at traditional ceramic or textile prints. When selecting adjacent paint colours and accents, soft warm whites and muted creams work effortlessly for woodwork, baseboards, and ceilings to keep the room feeling bright and cohesive. For a bolder, more immersive interior, deep navy or slate blue can be drawn out onto adjacent cabinetry, doors, or trim work. Earthy accent tones such as muted mustard, warm terracotta, or soft fawn also pair naturally with the blue-and-cream foundation.
