Wallpaper - Retro Food Bacon

Our Retro Food Bacon wallpaper brings mid-century diner charm into the home with a playful graphic illustration by Wild Apple Portfolio. At the centre of the composition, two strips of bacon sizzle in a cast-iron frying pan beside a tall blue cooking fork, framed by retro typography asking "Do you smell BACON???" and a warm yellow "Yummm...". Screenprint-inspired textures, wavy steam lines, and rich brick red tones set against an off-white backdrop give this design its lively, vintage character. Produced to your custom dimensions, our PVC-free wallpapers feature a subtle surface structure in the paper that complements graphic and illustrative artwork beautifully.

In the room

In a home kitchen, breakfast nook, or casual dining space, this wallpaper creates an immediate focal point full of personality and nostalgia. We find that graphic quote designs like this work especially well on a dedicated accent wall where the lettering and central pan illustration can be seen clearly, such as across from a dining table or above a kitchen banquette. Because the artwork relies on strong silhouettes and vintage poster proportions, keeping the surrounding wall area relatively uncluttered gives the composition space to breathe and deliver its cheerful visual impact.

Styling it

We recommend leaning into classic mid-century diner and retro bistro aesthetics to balance the bold illustrative style. Pair the wallpaper with simple retro furnishings such as a chrome-trimmed kitchen table, painted bistro chairs, or glossy subway tiling. Keeping surrounding countertop items and decorative accessories straightforward allows the playful character of the wall mural to lead the room without visual competition.

Colour combinations

The design features an earthy brick red, charcoal black, mustard yellow, and a bright pop of teal blue over a soft off-white background. For surrounding walls and kitchen cabinetry, warm whites and soft cream tones tie naturally into the paper's base. If you want to introduce more depth, accents in muted teal or deep charcoal echo the cooking utensils and frying pan, while warm cherry or natural timber tones enhance the cozy diner aesthetic.
