Wallpaper - Come Home Sepia

Captured by Nathan Larson, our Come Home Sepia wallpaper brings the dramatic atmosphere of towering storm clouds into an interior space. The composition focuses on a dense cumulus cloud formation rising through a textured, sepia-toned sky, with soft motion blur around the edges giving the impression of shifting winds. Warm off-white highlights define the billowed peaks, while deep charcoal and earthy brown shadows give the cloud mass physical presence and visual depth. Like all of our wallpapers, this mural is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

Because of the scale of the central cloud formation, we think this design works particularly well on an open, uninterrupted wall where the full vertical height of the motif can unfold. In a living room or bedroom, positioning the mural behind a low sofa or a headboard allows the dramatic upper portion of the sky to remain visible and anchor the room. The softer, blurred edges of the composition also make it forgiving on walls that meet corners or doorways, easing the transition into adjacent spaces without feeling abruptly cropped.

Styling it

To balance the visual weight of the stormy sky, we recommend keeping surrounding furniture grounded and relatively simple in form. Low-profile silhouettes in dark stained wood, blackened metal, or matte painted surfaces harmonize naturally with the deeper shadow tones in the clouds. Pairing the mural with tactile, unpatterned fabrics, such as heavy woven wool or unbleached linen, softens the atmosphere without competing with the sky's intricate tonal shifts.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper revolves around warm sepia tones, ranging from sunlit ivory and pale cream in the cloud highlights to deep umber, charcoal, and warm slate in the storm base. To create a cohesive look across the rest of the room, consider matching adjacent walls to a soft warm stone or muted chalky grey. For accents or surrounding upholstery, deeper tones like espresso brown, washed charcoal, or muted olive bring out the rich earthiness of the sepia print.
