Wallpaper - Playa Palms II

Our Playa Palms II wallpaper, created by artist June Erica Vess, brings a breezy coastal landscape into the home with a soft, watercolor-like feel. Slender palm trees lean gently across a sunlit shoreline, framed by soft sea blues, lush foliage greens, and warm sandy peach tones set against a quiet, textile-textured backdrop. The open composition and fluid brushwork give the design an airy, relaxed presence on the wall. Made to measure to your exact wall dimensions, this PVC-free wallpaper features a subtle physical paper structure that complements the painted artistry of the scene.

In the room

We love how the gentle vertical lines of the palm trunks give this design a sense of height, making it work especially well in rooms with standard or lower ceilings. In a living room or primary bedroom, giving our mural wallpapers a broad, uninterrupted wall behind a sofa or bed allows the full coastal shoreline to unfold naturally. Because the background remains light and open, the pattern adds character without overwhelming the space. In a light-filled dining room or a welcoming entryway, the scenery introduces a calm focal point that invites you to pause.

Styling it

To complement the painterly aesthetic of this design, we recommend keeping surrounding furniture shapes simple and uncluttered. Low-profile seating and open-frame shelving help keep the horizon line visible across the room. Natural, lightly woven textures such as cane, jute, and linen sit comfortably alongside the organic forms of the palm fronds, while warm wood tones like bleached oak, birch, or light teak echo the sandy tones in the foreground.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a gentle palette of leafy olive and sage greens, soft ocean blues, warm sand, and an off-white background wash. When selecting paint colours for adjoining walls or woodwork, we like using a soft off-white or light sand tone to create a seamless, cohesive transition. For a slightly bolder contrast, drawing out the muted olive green on trim, window frames, or painted side tables anchors the room and highlights the greenery in the motif.
