Wallpaper - Not All Who Wander Are Lost

Illustrated by Omar Escalante, our Not All Who Wander Are Lost wallpaper captures an expansive mountain landscape viewed through the eyes of a lone hiker. Pine-covered hills, a calm river valley, and distant layered peaks create a tranquil sense of scale beneath the atmospheric quote across the sky. Earthy fern greens and misty blues dominate the scenic backdrop, balanced by the wanderer's warm rust-orange jacket and graphic silhouette. Produced as made-to-measure mural wallpapers, this design is printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure that brings warmth and depth to your walls.

In the room

We love this scenic design on a main wall where the full mountain vista can unfold across the room. In a home study or creative studio, placing the mural behind a desk or open workspace provides an inspiring, grounded backdrop that adds character without overwhelming the room. The layered horizontal landscape and open sky also make it a distinctive choice for a teenage room, where the graphic illustration style brings personality and visual depth to an accent wall. Because the central figure and valley landscape create a strong focal point, the mural works best on a wall with minimal tall furniture blocking the lower scenery.

Styling it

To complement the earthy tones of our wall murals, we recommend keeping surrounding furniture simple and functional. Lighter wood finishes like birch or light ash pair naturally with the Scandinavian illustration style, while dark green or charcoal painted furniture helps anchor the deep tones of the pine forest. For soft furnishings, warm woven textiles in terracotta, mustard, or deep olive echo the hiker's jacket and forest floor, creating a balanced and cohesive space.

Colour combinations

The design is built around a palette of forest greens, fern tones, misty slate blues, and soft cream in the sky, punctuated by the warm orange-red jacket. On adjoining walls, soft off-whites with neutral undertones or pale, desaturated sage greens allow the mural to remain the clear centerpiece. For trim, baseboards, or built-in shelving, deeper moss greens or charcoal grey provide a crisp, framed finish that picks up the dark silhouettes in the foreground trees.
