Wallpaper - Abstract Stems VI

Created by Cheryl Warrick, our Abstract Stems VI wallpaper brings a bold, stylized botanical study to the wall with striking graphic clarity. A prominent coral-red floral bloom rises above curving green stems and foliage, set against a dark, textured grid backdrop. The interplay between the organic silhouette of the plant and the structured linear ground gives the pattern a confident, contemporary character with subtle folk-art undertones. Like all our wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your specific wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

In a living room or entryway, we like using this design on a main feature wall where its strong graphic geometry can anchor the entire space. Because the motif balances a prominent central bloom with a structured dark grid, it works wonderfully on walls that have open sightlines, such as behind a low credenza, a clean-lined sofa, or framing a dining table. The contrast between the rich dark backdrop and the warm coral and olive tones holds its own in bright daylight while creating an intimate, enveloping atmosphere in rooms with softer ambient evening lighting.

Styling it

When styling around this wallpaper, we suggest keeping surrounding furniture shapes relatively simple to let the graphic floral artwork remain the focal point. Mid-century modern or contemporary silhouettes in warm walnut or painted matte black complement the dark grid structure beautifully. For textiles, choosing solid fabrics in muted moss, natural linen, or soft terracotta echoes the botanical palette without introducing competing patterns into the room.

Colour combinations

Our design centers on rich coral-red, leafy olive greens, and deep charcoal-brown in the gridded background. For adjacent painted walls and woodwork, muted warm off-whites, dusty sage, or soft terracotta tones create a harmonious, grounded transition. If you prefer a moodier look, matching surrounding trim to the dark charcoal tones of the grid creates a cohesive, architecturally defined setting.
