Wallpaper - Food Phrases II

Created by Becky Thorns, our Food Phrases II wallpaper brings a warm, graphic charm to the wall with expressive brush-lettered typography and playful kitchenware line art. The dark navy script spells out "eat & drink", balanced alongside illustrated tableware outlines including a wine glass, spoon, fork, and knife over a soft cream backdrop. This typography design adds personality without visual clutter, making it a natural focal point for social eating spaces. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this mural wallpaper is made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper.

In the room

We love seeing this wallpaper in a dining room, kitchen, or breakfast nook where food and gathering naturally take centre stage. Because the composition carries bold lettering and distinct graphic silhouettes, we recommend placing it on a focal wall, such as behind a dining table or above a kitchen banquette, where the typography can be read clearly without being obscured by tall cabinetry. In open-plan living and dining areas, it acts as a visual anchor that clearly defines the dining zone while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming.

Styling it

To let the graphic artwork stand out, we suggest pairing this design with clean-lined furniture and honest, understated materials.

• Choose warm natural wood dining tables and chairs, such as light ash or oak, to complement the soft off-white background.
• Introduce dark metal accents on lighting pendants or chair frames to pick up on the deep navy brushstrokes.
• Keep surrounding tableware and decorative ceramics simple and matte, allowing the expressive lettering on the wall to remain the primary statement.

Colour combinations

The design is built around a crisp two-tone contrast: rich, deep navy lettering set against an off-white, warm cream background.

To build a cohesive room around our wall murals, we recommend continuing that understated warmth on adjacent painted walls with soft plaster whites, ivory, or gentle warm stone tones. For cabinetry, trim, or statement furniture, deep midnight blues, inky charcoals, or warm timber finishes echo the navy linework naturally without overwhelming the room.
