Wallpaper - Fall Colors - Screenprint Postcard

A scenic retro landscape capturing the warmth of autumn in classic Americana style, our Fall Colors - Screenprint Postcard wallpaper brings a nostalgic countryside vista into the home. Adapted from artwork by The Tichnor Brothers, the design features a quiet road curving alongside a calm river, bordered by trees in rich shades of amber, gold, orange, and olive green beneath a clear cornflower blue sky with soft drifting clouds. Printed as a made-to-measure, PVC-free wall mural, it adds graphic depth and mid-century print character to any interior.

In the room

We love this scenic composition for a living room or a dedicated reading den, where the winding road creates a natural sense of perspective across an accent wall. Giving our mural wallpapers a wider, uninterrupted wall area lets the sweeping curve of the roadway and the panoramic treeline unfold without being broken up by tall cabinets or shelving. In a bedroom or guest room, positioning the mural behind the headboard grounds the space in rich earthy tones while keeping the upper portion open and bright with its soft blue sky.

The balance of grounded foliage and expansive sky also makes this design work beautifully in a study, library, or home office. When placed opposite a window, daytime natural light brings out the subtle contrasts between the golden ochre leaves and the cornflower blue water, while warm directional lighting in the evening emphasizes the nostalgic, painterly print quality of the landscape.

Styling it

Because this design has a distinct vintage print character, we suggest pairing it with furniture that echoes mid-century lines or classic mid-century American aesthetics. Low-profile seating in warm leather or understated woven upholstery lets the graphic rhythm of the foliage take center stage without competing for visual attention.

For surrounding surfaces, warm wood finishes such as walnut, teak, or aged oak naturally complement the amber and olive foliage in the scene. Matte ceramic accessories, vintage desk lamps, or subtle brushed metal hardware help complete the room without distracting from the illustrated details of the wallpaper.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper is built on a vibrant yet balanced palette of cornflower blue, golden yellows, rich autumn oranges, muted olive greens, and soft earthy grays.

To create a cohesive scheme across adjacent painted walls and woodwork, consider pulling out the warm cream or pale cornflower blue from the sky to keep the rest of the room light and open. Alternatively, matching surrounding trim or built-in cabinetry to a deeper olive green or muted slate blue draws out the richer tones in the foreground and frames the mural wallpaper with deliberate, tailored contrast.
