Wallpaper - Mountain Metropolis

Our Mountain Metropolis wallpaper captures an expansive panoramic view where a dense urban skyline meets the dramatic presence of snow-capped mountains. The composition balances the detailed texture of low-rise neighbourhoods and green treetops across the foreground with the clean vertical geometry of glass and steel high-rises. In the distance, pale mountain peaks rise through a soft atmospheric haze beneath a clear, muted sky. Printed to order on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, our made-to-measure mural wallpapers bring architectural scale and visual depth to any modern interior.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well on a wide, uninterrupted accent wall where the full breadth of the panorama can unfold. In a living room, placing this wallpaper behind a low-profile sofa allows the skyline and mountain ridge to remain fully visible across the upper half of the wall. It also suits a home office or study, where the expansive horizon introduces a sense of architectural structure and open perspective behind a desk. For a teenage room, the contemporary city aesthetic offers a mature, graphic backdrop that feels both energetic and orderly.

Styling it

To balance the fine architectural detail and sweeping scale of the panorama, we suggest pairing this design with clean-lined furniture and unpatterned surfaces. Sleek silhouettes in matte black metal or brushed steel echo the modern skyscraper profiles without competing with the scene. For warmth, incorporate smooth natural wood such as walnut or ash in low consoles and shelving. We would keep large textiles, like rugs and upholstery, relatively plain in flat weaves or textured bouclé so the wallpaper remains the primary focal point of the space.

Colour combinations

The colour palette within the wallpaper centres on cool slate greys, crisp white highlights, atmospheric blues, and subtle touches of olive green from the foreground foliage. To complement these tones, surrounding painted walls look natural in soft off-whites, cool stone greys, or muted mist blues that echo the distant sky. For accent decor and furniture, deep charcoal, navy, or dark forest green provide grounding contrast, while warm timber elements add an inviting organic balance to the cool cityscape.
