Wallpaper - Sunday Roses

Our Sunday Roses wallpaper by Danhui Nai presents an elegant still life composition inspired by classical oil painting traditions. Luminous white and ivory rose blooms emerge from a muted, earthy backdrop of olive greens, warm sepia, and shadowy charcoal tones. The painterly brushstrokes give each petal a soft, expressive character, creating a rich visual depth across the wall. As a focal point or backdrop, this floral design brings a quiet, heritage-inspired atmosphere into private living spaces. Our mural wallpapers are made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions, printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

We see Sunday Roses working beautifully across a primary wall in a bedroom or an intimate dining room, where the floral bouquet can anchor the space. Because the artwork features a concentrated floral arrangement that fades softly into atmospheric shadow around the edges, it benefits from a relatively uninterrupted wall surface. In a living room, placing this wallpaper behind a low-backed sofa or credenza allows the full composition of the blossoms to remain visible. The muted, earthy background also suits quiet spaces like a home library, study, or dressing room, where you want visual richness without bright, demanding colour.

Styling it

The classical still life character of this design pairs naturally with traditional, Victorian, or heritage-inspired interiors, yet it can also provide a striking contrast in modern spaces.

• Pair the wallpaper with warm, dark wood furniture, such as walnut or mahogany, to echo the deep undertones of the background.
• Select upholstery and textiles in muted natural tones like warm beige, oatmeal linen, or deep forest green to complement the painted foliage.
• Introduce understated antique brass or muted bronze accents in mirrors and hardware, which reflect the historic oil painting aesthetic.

Colour combinations

The palette within our Sunday Roses wallpaper balances pure white and soft ivory with muted sage, olive green, warm taupe, and deep charcoal brown. When selecting paint colours for adjoining walls and woodwork, warm off-whites and creamy neutrals create a gentle, cohesive transition that highlights the brightness of the rose petals. For a more dramatic and enveloping feel, deep olive, muted sepia, or warm slate grey on surrounding doors and trim work will draw out the rich, shadowy tones of the background.
