Wallpaper - Densley

Densley brings a dense, layered botanical scene into the room, illustrated with the painted character of a nineteenth-century botanical study. Created by Imary, this wallpaper mural arranges large tropical foliage, broad fan-like leaves, and deep green undergrowth against a muted, softly clouded sky. Deep fern greens, forest tones, and earthy accents give the composition a grounded presence that fills a wall with lush natural detail. Like all our wall murals, it is made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

Because of the scale and layering of the lush vegetation, we see Densley working best on a wide, uninterrupted wall where the full breadth of the jungle canopy can unfold. In a living room, it creates an immersive backdrop behind a main seating area, grounding the space in rich foliage. The dense vertical growth also makes it well suited for a dedicated home art studio or a quiet meditation room, where the tranquil, organic mood can set the tone for the entire interior.

The deep, earthy green palette naturally absorbs light, so placing this design in a room with generous natural daylight helps highlight the finer brushwork and lighter botanical details. In spaces with softer evening lamps, the foliage deepens into a more enveloping, moody backdrop.

Styling it

We recommend pairing Densley with understated furniture silhouettes that allow the detailed botanical artwork to remain the focal point. Mid-century or heritage-inspired furniture in warm, mid-toned woods complements the nineteenth-century painting style without competing with the complexity of the leaves.

To keep the room balanced, choose solid upholstery rather than patterned fabrics. Matte dark metal details or patinated brass fixtures echo the vintage character of the artwork, while soft, unpatterned textiles keep the surrounding space calm and grounded.

Colour combinations

The artwork is built around rich botanical tones, including fern green, olive, deep forest green, and muted earthy undertones, balanced by soft cream and pale sky accents at the top.

When choosing paint colours for adjacent walls and woodwork, consider these directions:

• Muted warm off-whites or soft parchment tones that echo the hazy sky and keep the rest of the room bright.
• Deep olive or dark moss greens pulled directly from the denser foliage to create a rich, cohesive wrap around the room.
• Earthy taupes and warm stone shades that provide a neutral, grounded transition next to the mural.
