Wallpaper - Do Your Thing

Our Do Your Thing wallpaper, created by designer Julia Dreams, brings a graphic retro rhythm to interior walls through continuous, undulating vertical lines set against a warm coral orange backdrop. The flowing vertical movement creates an expressive textile-inspired visual character with a distinct 1970s revival energy, making it an engaging statement for a living room or dining area. Each of our mural wallpapers is made-to-measure according to your specific wall dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, designed to be straightforward to hang.

In the room

Living rooms and dining rooms are natural settings for this pattern. The dense vertical movement draws the eye upward, which works particularly well on standard-height walls where the continuous lines can establish a sense of height. In a dining space, we like using this wallpaper across a focal wall alongside a dining table, where the warm coral base brings an inviting presence to the gathering space. Within a living room, placing the design on a wider wall behind a low sofa allows the organic linear composition to remain fully visible.

Styling it

To balance the energetic retro character and linear flow, we suggest pairing this design with clean-lined mid-century or vintage-inspired furniture. Darker wood tones such as teak or walnut anchor the warm orange backdrop, grounding the visual movement of the dark lines. Keep surrounding upholstery and larger textiles relatively simple, using plain woven fabrics or bouclé in neutral shades rather than competing prints, letting the wallpaper carry the decorative focus.

Colour combinations

The design is defined by its rich coral orange background and deep charcoal line work. To create a balanced palette, we recommend pairing it with soft creams or warm off-whites on adjacent walls and trim. Deep earthy tones such as olive green, warm taupe, or dark brown work exceptionally well in surrounding furniture and accents, reinforcing the 1970s aesthetic while complementing the warmth of the wallpaper.
