Wallpaper - Greetings from Coney Island - Screenprint Postcard

Our Greetings from Coney Island wallpaper brings the energetic nostalgia of mid-century Americana straight to your walls. Designed around a classic screenprint postcard motif by The Tichnor Brothers, the large block lettering spells out the iconic destination, with each character framing vintage scenes of seaside rides, roller coasters, Ferris wheels, and sunlit boardwalks. A vibrant palette of warm yellow, orange, and red gives the composition its lively retro character. Like all our wall murals, this design is made-to-measure, printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, and designed to be straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because of the graphic scale of the large lettering and the detailed illustrations inside each character, we see this working best as a dedicated focal point. In a living room or a relaxed vacation home, placing the design on a wide, uninterrupted wall allows the full postcard composition to be appreciated without being broken up by tall furniture. The bold layout works particularly well behind a low-profile sofa or along a main entertaining wall where the playful visual story can unfold across the room.

Styling it

The graphic, mid-century poster style pairs naturally with vintage and casual retro interiors. We suggest balancing the bold lettering by choosing furniture with clean, simple silhouettes rather than elaborate detailing. Low wooden sideboards or credenzas in mid-toned or warm woods complement the nostalgic feel of the print while keeping the lower half of the motif unobstructed. To let the mural wallpapers remain the central statement, surrounding accents and upholstery are best kept relatively grounded in neutral canvas, warm cream, or understated woven textures.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper is anchored in warm sunshine yellow, rich orange, and punchy red, accented by subtle coastal tones within the postcard vignettes. When selecting colors for adjacent walls or trim, off-whites, soft creams, or muted warm sands help harmonize with the postcard background without competing for attention. If you want to draw out the print's energetic personality in smaller accents, picking up on the warm golden yellows or subtle retro reds in cushions, ceramics, or lampshades creates an intentional, cohesive look.
