Wallpaper - Beach Birds II

Three small shorebirds forage along the shoreline amidst gentle dunes and coastal grasses in Beach Birds II by Julia Purinton. Rendered with an oil-painted look, the composition pairs soft horizon lines and pale sky with painterly brushwork in tones of muted blue, sandy taupe, and warm ochre. Our mural wallpapers are made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, creating a serene, painterly accent wall for coastal-inspired interiors.

In the room

In a bedroom or dining room, we would place this design across a main accent wall where the horizontal composition of the shore and sea has space to spread out. The lower visual horizon keeps the upper wall airy and open, making it a great choice behind low-profile furniture such as a platform bed, low sofa, or dining sideboard. We also see this working beautifully in a guest room, summer house, or home office where the quiet maritime theme brings a calm, balanced backdrop without visual clutter.

Styling it

To complement the traditional coastal character of the design, we recommend pairing the wall mural with natural textures and understated furniture.

• Choose warm, light-toned wood or weathered painted finishes to balance the soft sandy tones in the sand and beach grass.
• Incorporate simple linen or woven cotton textiles in off-white and soft grey to echo the plumage of the shorebirds.
• Keep wall decor minimal on adjacent surfaces so the painterly landscape remains the visual anchor of the room.

Colour combinations

The palette in the wallpaper features soft coastal blues, pale sky grey, warm sandy beige, and muted ochre grasses, with deeper charcoal accents defining the birds. To build a harmonious interior around the mural, we suggest pairing it with chalky off-whites, sea-glass blues, or warm greige on adjacent walls and trim. If you prefer deeper contrast, navy blue or charcoal grey can be used sparingly on accent furniture to pick up the brushstroke details of the birds.
