Wallpaper - Chasing Dahlia Purple

Our Chasing Dahlia Purple wallpaper, created by Mairin Kareli, brings together densely layered petals in an expressive, sweeping botanical composition. Detailed ink-style linework traces each petal, lending depth and movement across the surface. The palette moves through deep purples, soft lavender, and muted shadowy undertones, creating a dramatic yet balanced visual rhythm on the wall. Produced as a made-to-measure mural on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it is designed to be straightforward to hang in any interior.

In the room

Because the petal motif is dense and full of diagonal movement, we see this working particularly well across a larger, uninterrupted wall. In a bedroom, placing this design behind the headboard gives the room a rich visual focal point while allowing the surrounding walls to remain quieter. In a living room, it anchors a seating area with depth, especially on a wider wall where the flowing layers of petals have space to unfold continuously.

Styling it

With such a rich and intricate botanical pattern, we recommend keeping larger furniture pieces relatively simple in form. Low-profile seating or clean-lined bed frames allow the wallpaper to remain the primary visual focus without competing shapes.

Warm, dark wood tones or soft charcoal upholstery create a grounded pairing against the purple and lavender tones. Matte black metallic accents or dark ceramics can echo the fine ink linework throughout the design, helping to tie the room together naturally.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper features a gradient of deep purple, dusty violet, and pale lavender with fine dark line details. To balance these saturated tones, we suggest pairing adjacent walls with soft neutral greiges, muted off-whites, or deep slate greys. For accent pieces or textiles, plum, dusty mauve, or muted navy complement the purple palette while maintaining a cohesive look.
