Wallpaper - Vinyl Archive

Our Vinyl Archive wallpaper, created by Thomas Winz, captures a tightly packed shelf of vintage vinyl record spines full of graphic energy. Bold reds, deep blacks, bright yellows, and crisp whites sit side by side in a dense, horizontal rhythm that gives the wall a rich graphic presence. Varied typography, album titles, and worn spine details bring authentic 1960s retro character to the composition. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, our wallpaper creates an expressive focal point that is straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because of its dense horizontal alignment and high-contrast palette, we see this design working especially well across an accent wall in a creative home studio, a dedicated hobby room, or a teenage bedroom. The detailed repeat invites closer viewing, so we suggest placing it on a wall that is not overly obscured by tall storage units or bulky wardrobes. In a smaller room, covering a single wall gives the space a clear retro identity without overwhelming the surrounding area. If you have lower furniture, such as a low sideboard, desk, or low-profile media unit, the pattern can run cleanly across the upper wall where the lettering and colour blocks remain fully visible.

Styling it

When styling around such a visually energetic pattern, we recommend balancing the wall with simpler, grounded furnishings. Mid-century modern furniture shapes or clean-lined retro silhouettes complement the 1960s graphic theme naturally. We like pairing this wallpaper with painted black or warm wood furniture, which echoes the darker record spines without competing for attention. Keeping nearby fabrics and upholstery in solid neutral tones or understated textures helps the vibrant spine artwork take centre stage in the room.

Colour combinations

The motif is defined by saturated reds, bright yellows, crisp whites, and deep blacks that create strong visual contrast across the wall. To build a cohesive palette around our wall murals, you can draw from the cleaner off-whites or soft greys to paint adjacent walls and baseboards, creating a crisp boundary for the artwork. For accent pieces or soft furnishings, introducing touches of mustard yellow or muted crimson will naturally pick up the prominent tones in the record spines, while charcoal and matte black details help anchor the entire scheme.
