Wallpaper - Rainy Suburbs

Our Rainy Suburbs wallpaper captures a dreamy forest scene veiled in mist and soft light. Slender, dark tree trunks rise from a still, reflective waterline, contrasting against an ethereal backdrop of smoky gray, soft beige, and hazy white. The motif combines abstract brushwork with painterly woodland silhouettes, creating a tranquil atmosphere with layered depth and gentle vertical rhythm. As with all Wallism wall murals, this design is custom made-to-measure to fit your specific wall dimensions and is printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well on a main feature wall in a living room or a dedicated meditation space. Because the composition balances fine vertical branches with broader areas of blurred, atmospheric color, giving it an uninterrupted wall allows the full depth of the misty scenery to unfold. In a living room setting, positioning the wallpaper behind a lower sofa lets the dark tree trunks ground the space while the lighter, atmospheric canopy draws the eye upward.

Styling it

To complement the organic modern feel of the artwork, we would pair this wallpaper with low-profile furniture and restrained interior elements. Warm, natural wood tones such as ash or muted oak sit comfortably alongside the warm beige undertones in the motif without competing with the darker vertical trunks. Keeping nearby upholstery in quiet, unpatterned woven fabrics helps maintain the artwork as the main visual anchor in the room.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built on a palette of smoky grays, soft charcoal, hazy off-white, and muted beige. When selecting paint shades for adjoining walls or woodwork, we recommend echoing these neutral undertones with soft warm grays or gentle linen-inspired neutrals. If you want to introduce subtle contrast through larger furniture pieces, deeper charcoal tones or muted earthy browns work naturally with the base of the tree reflections.
