Wallpaper - Gripsholm Small

Our Gripsholm Small wallpaper by Limolida Studio brings a classic gingham check to life with a soft denim blue and warm neutral off-white palette. The square geometric pattern features fine woven-look visual details within the crosshatched blue bands, giving the timeless motif a gentle textile character. Its balanced, smaller-scale grid creates an orderly visual rhythm that feels familiar, calm, and grounded. Made-to-measure and completely PVC-free, this design brings a nostalgic heritage feel to interior walls.

In the room

The neat, small-scale check makes this design exceptionally adaptable across different room sizes and layouts. In a dining room, it provides a warm and welcoming backdrop around a dining table, working just as nicely on a single feature wall as it does wrapped around the entire room. Because the repeating pattern is tightly structured and low in aggressive contrast, it sits comfortably on walls interrupted by doors, windows, or cabinetry, making it a natural choice for kitchens and breakfast nooks. In a cabin or countryside cottage, the rhythmic blue grid adds an instant sense of homeliness without overwhelming the space.

Styling it

This heritage-inspired pattern pairs effortlessly with traditional, rustic, and casual contemporary interiors. We like how the denim blue tone complements painted wooden cabinetry and warm wood dining furniture, creating an unpretentious, comfortable atmosphere. Keep larger furniture relatively simple to let the check pattern add the primary decorative interest, or layer in subtle striped cushions and simple ceramic tableware to lean into a classic country aesthetic.

Colour combinations

The design is built on a versatile palette of muted denim blue, soft mid-blue intersections, and a warm neutral background. For surrounding walls and woodwork, warm whites, cream, and soft linen tones keep the space light and cohesive. If you want to introduce more depth around the room, pair it with muted navy, dusty grey-blue, or warm earth tones like toasted terracotta and honeyed wood finishes.
