Wallpaper - Through the Magnifying Lens

Our Through the Magnifying Lens wallpaper, created by Imary, brings dramatic scale to classical floral painting. We love how the composition zooms in on lush, layered peonies, capturing the soft sweep of blush pink and ivory petals against deep, shadowy undertones. Delicate smaller blossoms, muted leaves, and golden-brown seed pods balance the large blooms, giving the painterly floral wall mural an expressive, romantic presence. Produced made-to-measure to fit your room dimensions, our wallpapers are PVC-free and printed on paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

Because of its generous scale and painterly depth, we see this design working beautifully on a main feature wall in a bedroom or dining room. In a bedroom, placing the large blooms behind the headboard creates an intimate, enveloping focal point without overwhelming the rest of the space. In a living room or guest room, giving the wallpaper a wider uninterrupted wall allows the dramatic floral composition to unfold fully. The balance of soft blush highlights and darker background tones works particularly well in rooms with gentle indirect daylight or warm evening lamplight, where the depth of the petal layers comes alive.

Styling it

To let the lush floral forms hold the spotlight, we suggest pairing this mural wallpaper with quiet, considered furniture. Upholstered seating in neutral woven fabrics or low-sheen velvet balances the painterly motif nicely, while dark painted wood or warm walnut furniture anchors the deeper tones in the backdrop. Simple, unfussy silhouettes prevent the room from feeling overly ornate, keeping the overall look grounded, modern, and inviting.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built around delicate blush pink, creamy off-white, and pale petal tones, set against deep charcoal greens, muted sage, and warm ochre accents. To complement these shades, we recommend painting adjacent walls in warm plaster, soft muted grey, or warm alabaster white to maintain an open and airy feel. If you prefer a moodier, heritage-inspired atmosphere, pulling out the design's deeper olive or charcoal undertones on adjacent trim or cabinetry creates a beautifully cohesive room.
