Wallpaper - Golden Seal

Designed by Janelle Penner, our Golden Seal wallpaper brings a classic trellis motif together with a warm, painted aesthetic. Interlocking quatrefoil and strapwork shapes in rich caramel and warm ochre tones form an elegant geometric repeat across a softly textured off-white background. What we particularly like about this design is the painterly quality within the linework, where subtle brush-like textures soften the structure and give it a timeless, hand-finished character. Printed made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture, our wallpapers are easy to hang and well suited to spaces where you want architectural rhythm without heavy contrast.

In the room

The open geometry and balanced scale make this trellis pattern versatile across different wall dimensions. In an entryway or hallway, we would use it across all walls to create an inviting, structured transition into the home. In a dining room, the design works equally well as a tailored feature wall behind a dining table or credenza, where the vertical flow of the strapwork adds height and framing to the space. Because the contrast between the caramel lines and pale backdrop is gentle, the repeat remains calm and coherent even when viewed across larger, uninterrupted wall areas.

Styling it

To complement the refined geometry and warm palette of this design, we suggest pairing it with timeless interior elements. Warm wood tones, such as honey oak or walnut, pick up the golden undertones in the trellis lines and create a grounded, cohesive feel. In dining rooms and entry spaces, combining the pattern with traditional architectural detailing, like painted wainscoting or clean picture-rail trim, anchors the repeat naturally. Understated upholstered furniture and neutral accents allow the rhythmic line work of the mural wallpapers to remain the primary decorative focus.

Colour combinations

Our Golden Seal wallpaper centres on warm caramel, soft ochre, and warm neutral tones set against a crisp off-white backdrop. For surrounding painted walls and woodwork, soft ivory, creamy beige, or muted taupe will extend the design's natural warmth without competing with the linework. If you prefer a richer contrast, deep charcoal, olive green, or navy blue on adjacent surfaces or cabinetry provides a striking complement that highlights the golden warmth of the motif.
