Wallpaper - Garden Beauties IV Honeybloom

Designed by Julia Purinton, our Garden Beauties IV Honeybloom wallpaper features an expressive, painted butterfly centered against a warm, textured off-white background. The wing composition brings together deep navy and charcoal tones with creamy white markings, layered over subtle teal accents around the body. Visible brushstrokes and an oil-painted character give the motif an artisanal, calm presence on a larger scale. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure according to your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

Because the motif centers around a single substantial focal point with generous open space around it, we see this working best as a feature wall where the butterfly can be fully appreciated. In a bedroom, placing it behind the headboard creates a quiet, grounding visual anchor without overwhelming the room. It also works beautifully in a home library, study, or dedicated reading space on an open wall that remains free of tall shelving. The lighter background keeps smaller rooms feeling open, while the darker navy details provide enough visual weight to hold attention across larger wall surfaces.

Styling it

We suggest leaning into the design's organic, painterly quality with understated contemporary or organic modern furnishings. Low-profile furniture works particularly well here, ensuring the lower wing patterns remain visible. In a study or home library, mid-tone warm woods such as walnut or natural oak balance the cool navy and teal notes in the wings. To keep the focus on the artwork, select unpatterned textiles in natural weaves and soft neutral tones rather than competing prints.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper itself combines deep navy blue, charcoal, subtle teal highlights, and soft, warm white. When selecting paint colors for adjacent walls or trim, off-white and soft ivory tones create a seamless, harmonious transition that echoes the background texture. For a more graphic, enveloping interior, a deep navy or dark slate on surrounding woodwork or built-in cabinetry draws out the rich tones in the butterfly wings and adds striking contrast.
