Wallpaper - Harlequin Blue

Our Harlequin Blue wallpaper brings a soft, painterly interpretation to a classic diamond grid. Rendered in watercolor tones of teal, slate blue, and washed ocean blue against a crisp white ground, the pattern has a relaxed rhythm where each diamond carries gentle shifts in pigment density and wash. What we particularly like is how the organic, hand-painted appearance softens the geometric structure, giving the repeating harlequin motif a calm, tranquil presence on the wall. Produced to measure and completely PVC-free, our wallpaper has a subtle structure in the paper and is designed to be straightforward to hang.

In the room

We find this watercolor geometric pattern particularly well suited to utility and functional spaces where a clean yet decorative pattern adds visual interest. In a kitchen, the diagonal grid brings movement around cabinetry or open shelving, while in a laundry room or bathroom, the fresh blue and white palette creates an airy, serene feel. Because the repeat has an open, rhythmic cadence and gentle tonal variation rather than rigid graphic contrast, it works comfortably across several walls or on a single feature wall without feeling visually overwhelming.

Styling it

The balanced geometric lines and soft watercolor texture lend themselves naturally to both heritage-inspired and fresh modern interiors. We would pair this design with clean painted cabinetry, crisp woodwork, and natural stone or polished chrome fixtures that reflect the clean, aquatic tones of the pattern. Keeping surrounding surfaces relatively uncluttered allows the fluid tonal changes within the diamonds to remain the focal point of the space.

Colour combinations

The palette centers on cool watercolor blues, ranging from muted teal and dusty slate to paler washed blues, set against a bright white backdrop. To build a cohesive room around this wallpaper, we suggest continuing the clean white tone across trim, ceilings, and paneling to keep the space bright. Deeper navy or rich teal accents on lower cabinetry or accent pieces anchor the lighter washes, while soft off-whites and cool greys create a seamless, harmonious transition on neighboring walls.
