Wallpaper - Shakespeare Classics II

Our Shakespeare Classics II wallpaper mural, created by Omar Escalante, brings dramatic literary iconography into a bold graphic composition. The design features a stylized white skull cradled in a silhouetted black hand against a rich lavender-purple backdrop, framed with clean white borders and classic typography reading "HAMLET" and "THOUGH THIS BE MADNESS, YET THERE IS METHOD IN'T". With its striking contrast and painterly visual texture across the background and central motif, this design acts as an expressive visual focal point. Like all our wall murals, it is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure.

In the room

Because of its distinct poster-style layout and high-contrast central motif, we see this mural wallpaper working particularly well on a dedicated accent wall where the full composition remains clearly visible. It feels right at home in a private study, home library, or a creative home office, but can also bring character to a reading nook or living room wall. Giving the design a relatively clear wall area, such as behind a low desk or beside an armchair, ensures that the typography and central artwork are not obscured by tall shelving or oversized furniture.

Styling it

We recommend pairing this graphic design with relatively streamlined furniture so the bold illustration remains the focal point of the space. Dark wood tones, clean black shelving, or painted charcoal surfaces create a cohesive, tailored atmosphere around the dark silhouette in the artwork. Crisp lighting, whether via focused task lamps or ambient spotlights, helps highlight the painted texture within the purple backdrop.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a defined palette of deep purple, stark white, and solid black. To complement the mural on surrounding walls or adjacent surfaces, we suggest muted neutrals such as soft stone or off-white to let the purple pop, or moody charcoals and deep slate tones if you prefer a richer, more enveloping room aesthetic.
