Wallpaper - Western Rider

Our Western Rider wallpaper brings a close photographic perspective into focus, capturing the quiet partnership between horse and rider. The composition highlights the warm chestnut coat of the horse contrasted against a classic black riding boot, metal stirrup and spur detail, and a soft pale accent from the saddle pad. Created with Wild Apple Portfolio, this mural wallpaper works as an intimate, characterful feature wall that introduces rich warmth and graphic contrast to an interior. Like all Wallism mural wallpapers, it is made-to-measure and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper texture.

In the room

Because of the photographic cropping and rich tonal presence, we see this wall mural working particularly well on an uninterrupted wall in a living room, study, or hallway. The large scale of the horse's coat provides a warm, grounded expanse of colour, while the equestrian gear introduces crisp focal detail at eye level. In a home office or library, placing the design behind a desk or low credenza gives the room an atmospheric, heritage-inspired backdrop without overwhelming the space. In a spacious bedroom, we would feature it along the wall behind the bed, letting the warm chestnut tones anchor the entire room.

Styling it

To complement the rich equestrian aesthetic, we suggest pairing this wallpaper with tailored, grounded furnishings and natural surface materials:

• Balance the strong photographic subject with warm, dark or medium wood furniture such as walnut, teak, or stained oak that echoes the deep tones in the horse's coat.
• Introduce tactile leather upholstery, dark metal accents, or matte black hardware to pick up on the riding boot, stirrup, and tack details.
• Soften the space with natural woven textiles like wool throws or heavy linen drapes in warm stone, oat, or muted moss tones.

Colour combinations

The design is built around rich chestnut brown, deep black, burnished leather tones, and soft sandy neutrals in the background, offset by a pale mint-blue accent along the saddle pad. When choosing paint colours for surrounding walls and trim, warm neutrals such as cream, soft taupe, and warm stone work naturally. For a moodier, more tailored interior, deep charcoal or espresso brown on adjacent walls or joinery creates a cohesive, enveloping atmosphere that connects directly with the dark leather boots.
