Wallpaper - Le Citron VII

Our Le Citron VII wallpaper by Leslie Trimbach brings together symmetrical floral and leaf motifs rendered in soft watercolor shades of blue on a clean white ground. Swirling botanical elements and pointed leaves radiate outward to create a balanced, medallion-like ceramic tile character across the wall. The gentle tonal transitions within the denim and softer blue hues give the geometric repetition an organic, painted quality with a calm visual rhythm. Made to measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this design is simple to hang and adds timeless decorative detail to any room.

In the room

We see this design working beautifully across an entire dining room or on a primary feature wall in a bedroom behind a headboard. The balanced, tile-inspired repeat creates visual interest without feeling chaotic, making it equally fitting for a relaxed summer house living room, a powder room, or a kitchen dining nook. On wider walls, the geometric alignment of the circular botanical clusters creates an elegant decorative cadence that draws the eye across the space. In smaller rooms, the crisp white background prevents the blue pattern from feeling heavy or enclosed.

Styling it

The classical French country and cottage heritage of this pattern makes it a natural partner for painted wooden cabinetry, warm pine, or natural oak dining furniture. We suggest keeping surrounding fabrics relatively simple, choosing plain woven linens or light cottons in crisp white or unbleached tones so the pattern remains the focal point. To complement the ceramic-like look of the motif, simple glazed tableware, clear glass accents, and subtle antique bronze or brushed nickel hardware sit effortlessly alongside our wall murals.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper pairs varied blue and denim tones against a soft white base. For adjacent walls, woodwork, and trim, classic warm whites, soft chalky off-whites, or pale grey-blues provide a clean continuation that lets the pattern lead. If you prefer deeper contrast in surrounding joinery or furniture, navy blue or charcoal can anchor the lighter watercolor tones. Natural accents like terracotta planters or warm ochre decorative items also provide an appealing warmth against the cooler blue palette.
