Wallpaper - Jersey Channel Islands Skyline Purple & Gold

In this wallpaper design by Michael Tompsett, the iconic landmarks of Jersey in the Channel Islands emerge through expressive watercolor-inspired splashes and paint splatters. The composition balances architectural silhouettes with dynamic washes in deep purple, dark mulberry, and warm golden ochre tones against a clean white backdrop. As with all our wallpapers, this mural is made-to-measure according to your wall dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

We love how this skyline silhouette anchors a space horizontally while keeping the upper half of the wall light and airy. In a living room, it works wonderfully across a feature wall behind a sofa, where the detailed architecture and expressive paint splatters sit naturally at eye level. The design also brings character to a home office or study, offering an artistic focal point on an uninterrupted wall without visually overwhelming the room. Because the motif sits primarily along the lower and middle sections with generous white space above, it suits rooms with standard ceiling heights as well as spaces with lower natural daylight.

Styling it

The artistic contrast between the crisp white background and the painterly skyline makes this wallpaper easy to integrate into contemporary and eclectic interiors. We recommend pairing the design with clean-lined furniture so the expressive silhouette remains the centerpiece of the room.

• Choose darker wood furniture or matte black accents to echo the deeper purple and mulberry architectural silhouettes.
• Introduce brass or warm bronze hardware and lighting fixtures that pick up the golden ochre tones within the watercolor washes.
• Keep surrounding upholstery and soft furnishings relatively neutral in soft off-whites or warm creams to allow the artwork to stand out.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper combines deep purple and dark mulberry tones with warm golden ochre and soft amber accents on a pure white field. For adjacent walls, a gentle off-white or soft warm cream keeps the overall atmosphere bright while seamlessly continuing the artwork's backdrop. If you prefer more contrast, deep aubergine or warm muted taupe on surrounding woodwork, trim, or cabinetry will emphasize the dramatic depths within the skyline silhouette.
