Wallpaper - Flora Toile IX

Designed by Beth Grove, our Flora Toile IX wallpaper brings classic botanical drawing into a refined, contemporary format. Fine black ink-style linework depicts an arranged bouquet of open blossoms, delicate buds, and detailed foliage against a soft cream background. We particularly like how the varied textures of cross-hatching, stippling, and smooth outlines give the floral composition visual depth without relying on heavy shading. Printed as a made-to-measure, PVC-free wallpaper, it creates an elegant botanical feature wall with an artistic, timeless feel.

In the room

Because of the delicate balance of detailed linework and generous neutral space, we see Flora Toile IX working beautifully on a main feature wall in a bedroom, living room, or study. Positioned behind a bed headboard or centered along a primary wall in a sitting room, the bouquet motif becomes a quiet focal point that never overwhelms the room. In a home office or study, the tranquil hand-drawn character adds visual interest across from a desk or adjacent to built-in shelving, bringing a peaceful natural element to your daily workspace.

Styling it

The heritage botanical character of this wallpaper pairs naturally with traditional, cottage, and southern traditional interiors, while its clean monochrome palette also sits comfortably in modern classic spaces. We suggest pairing it with warm wood furniture, such as antique walnut or light oak, which echoes the organic warmth of the cream base. To keep the focus on the intricate linework, choose upholstery in solid textures like crisp cotton or tailored linen rather than competing busy prints. Understated metal accents in brushed brass or matte black complement the fine botanical lines without creating visual clutter.

Colour combinations

The design itself centers on rich charcoal-black linework against a warm, neutral cream base. When choosing surrounding wall paint and decor, we recommend pulling out soft off-whites, warm creams, or gentle antique white tones for trim and adjacent surfaces to create a cohesive backdrop. For a subtle touch of contrast, muted sage greens, dusty blush, or deep forest green on upholstery and accessories enrich the natural theme while letting the black-and-white motif stand out.
