Wallpaper - Mountain Sunset

Our Mountain Sunset wallpaper brings the expansive beauty of alpine peaks into the home through photographic landscape art by Lucas Tiefenthaler. Snow-covered mountain ridges sweep across the composition beneath a twilight sky where soft pink and warm orange light blends into deep sapphire blue tones. The smooth contours of snow and layered ridgelines create a tranquil sense of scale that works particularly well as a focal point across a wider wall. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

In a living room, we see this scenic mural wallpaper working best on a wide, uninterrupted wall behind a sofa or low credenza, where the expansive horizon and gentle mountain curves have room to unfold. The horizontal rhythm of the ridges helps give a room an open, airy character, making it well suited to main living areas or a tranquil vacation home. Because the upper portion of the design transitions into open sky, it naturally leaves the upper half of the room feeling light and uncluttered, even in rooms with standard ceiling heights.

Styling it

To let the photographic detail and depth of the alpine landscape remain central, we recommend keeping surrounding furniture clean-lined and understated. Low-profile contemporary furniture in light wood or neutral upholstery sits comfortably against the lower snowbanks without obstructing the mountain peaks. For textiles, simple textured fabrics in cool grey, off-white, or muted blue echo the soft shadows of the snow, while minimalist decorative accents let the natural drama of the landscape take center stage.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper is defined by cool sapphire blues and crisp snowy whites, balanced by glowing sunset hues of soft pink and subtle orange along the horizon. When painting adjacent walls or trim, off-white, soft cool grey, or pale sky blue create a seamless, harmonious backdrop. If you want to draw out the warmer tones of the dusk sky, consider introducing subtle terracotta or blush accents through cushions, throws, or ceramic pieces.
