Wallpaper - Misty Cascade

Our Misty Cascade wallpaper mural brings together the raw movement of a rushing waterfall crashing over dark, rugged cliffs with the stillness of a dense pine forest. Captured by Tim Mulholland, the composition balances deep fern greens and mossy cliff tones against the bright white mist rising from the cascading water beneath an overcast sky. The expansive scale gives the landscape an immersive depth that anchors a room without overwhelming it. Like all our wallpapers, this mural is made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

We see this scenic design working especially well as an accent wall in a living room, where the full width of the landscape has space to unfold. Placing it behind a low-profile sofa or on an open, uninterrupted wall allows the dramatic vertical drop of the waterfall and the surrounding pine foliage to remain fully visible. In a dedicated meditation room or quiet retreat, the earthy tones and natural mist create an enveloping, grounded atmosphere that sets a contemplative tone for the entire space.

Styling it

To let the wild character of the landscape take center stage, we suggest pairing this wall mural with understated furniture and organic materials that echo the forest setting:

• Choose simple furniture with clean lines and low silhouettes, such as a low-slung sofa or minimalist wooden coffee table, to keep the visual focus on the scenery.
• Incorporate warm, medium-toned woods or dark walnut accents that harmonize naturally with the earthy cliff faces and tree trunks in the print.
• Use coarse, textured upholstery like chunky bouclé or raw canvas in off-white or oat tones to balance the dark green depth of the pines.
• Add small matte black or patinated metal hardware to subtly ground the surrounding decor alongside the dark stone elements in the mural.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is grounded in rich fern green, deep mossy tones, charcoal cliff greys, and frothy mist whites. When choosing surrounding wall colors, we recommend soft, warm whites or chalky stone greiges to reflect the overcast sky and misty spray. If you prefer a moodier palette, deep forest greens or muted slate greys work well on adjacent walls and trim, seamlessly extending the atmospheric tones of the landscape into the wider room.
