Wallpaper - Chassey

Our Chassey wallpaper, created by Julia Dreams, brings a soft, rhythmic structure to the wall through painted vertical brushstrokes arranged in alternating bands. Set against a quiet pebble gray background, the rounded, chalky off-white marks feature a gently weathered visual texture that softens the geometry of a traditional stripe. The low contrast between the muted base and the painted forms creates an open, tranquil atmosphere that feels contemporary and understated. Made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, this design offers an easy-to-live-with backdrop for modern living spaces.

In the room

Because of its gentle tonal shifts and repeating rhythm, we see Chassey working exceptionally well in spaces where you want visual texture without overwhelming the room. In a home office or study, the subtle vertical lines lend a quiet sense of order behind a desk or open shelving, creating depth while keeping the overall setting calm.

The vertical orientation of the brushstrokes also suits hallways, entryways, and staircases, where the rhythm naturally draws the eye upward along tall or narrow wall runs. Unlike high-contrast stripes, the softened painted edges allow this pattern to cover all four walls comfortably without feeling rigid, though it works equally well as a subtle focal wall behind key furniture.

Styling it

We recommend pairing Chassey with minimalist or Scandinavian-inspired interiors that celebrate clean forms and honest materials. Because the pattern carries a soft, painterly visual texture, keeping surrounding furniture relatively simple helps maintain a serene balance throughout the room.

To complement the chalky character of the motif, introduce warm, light wood tones such as ash or pale oak alongside unadorned painted surfaces. Matte ceramic details, light linen textiles, and understated black or muted metal accents will sharpen the silhouette of your furnishings without competing with the wallpaper’s quiet background rhythm.

Colour combinations

The palette of our Chassey design is rooted in monochromatic neutrals, pairing a soft pebble gray base with weathered, chalky off-white brushstrokes.

To build an easy, harmonious scheme around the wallpaper, we suggest carrying warm whites, soft stone, and light grays onto adjacent walls, doors, and architectural trim. If you want to introduce deeper grounding accents through furniture, upholstery, or art framing, rich charcoal, muted taupe, or deep slate provide a sophisticated, tailored contrast while staying true to the serene neutral theme.
