Wallpaper - Painterly White Roses

Our floral wallpaper, created by Danhui Nai, presents a still life bouquet of white roses arranged in a clear glass vase. Expressive, broad oil-paint-style brushstrokes give the petals a soft, layered appearance, blending creamy white, pale blush, and warm beige against a muted taupe background. Deep olive and sage foliage anchors the composition, creating a balanced, painterly contrast. The generous scale of the floral arrangement makes this wall mural an elegant focal point for a bedroom or dining room. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure, PVC-free, and printed on paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

In a bedroom, we would place this design behind the headboard where the large-scale floral motif acts as an artistic backdrop without overwhelming the space. The calm, neutral background allows the bouquet to anchor the room naturally. In a dining room or living room, we see it working particularly well on an uninterrupted feature wall, giving the full still life arrangement ample space to be appreciated from across the room.

The soft cream and neutral tones also make this design well suited to smaller, intimate settings such as a powder room, dressing room, or entry. Because the composition is centered around a clear floral cluster, placing it where sightlines lead directly toward the wall enhances its presence. In spaces like a study, home office, or guest room, the subdued palette pairs effortlessly with daily living.

Styling it

We recommend balancing the painterly softness of the floral motif with clean-lined furniture and thoughtful textures.

• Ground the space with warm wooden pieces, such as a natural oak table or a mid-toned walnut credenza, which echo the earthy undertones of the stems and background.
• Introduce tactile fabrics like heavy unbleached cotton, bouclé, or woven wool on upholstery and cushions to complement the textured look of the oil paint strokes.
• Keep surrounding decorative items restrained, selecting simple ceramic vessels or quiet stone accents that do not compete with the prominent still life artwork.

Colour combinations

The design itself centers around warm cream, soft off-white, and pale blush within the rose petals, balanced by earthy olive greens in the foliage and a neutral taupe-grey backdrop.

When choosing paint for adjacent walls and trim, warm off-white or light stone shades create a seamless, cohesive look that lets the mural stand out softly. For a richer, more enveloping feel, deeper tones drawn from the artwork, such as warm taupe, muted putty, or soft olive green, work wonderfully on woodwork, cabinetry, or connecting hallways.
