Wallpaper - Arctic Flow

Our Arctic Flow wallpaper captures a winter landscape where a gentle stream winds between dark, snow-covered rocks. Photographed by Thomas Winz, the scene pairs the crisp, bright white of fresh snow with deep charcoal stone, softened by the smooth, blurred movement of water captured with a slow shutter speed. The composition creates a balanced, high-contrast visual rhythm that gives a room a grounded and quiet presence. Like all of our wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to your dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well on a wide, uninterrupted wall in a living room, a meditation space, or a quiet retreat in a vacation home. Because the photographic composition carries a clear horizontal flow through the water and rocks, giving it generous wall space allows the full expanse of the landscape to be appreciated without feeling cut short. In a living room, placing it along the main wall behind a low sofa lets the darker rock forms anchor the lower half of the space while the white snow opens up the upper wall. The quiet, monochromatic character also makes it well suited to spaces where you want wall murals that set a serene backdrop rather than overwhelm the layout with busy pattern.

Styling it

Because the photograph is defined by strong black and white contrast and fluid natural shapes, we suggest pairing it with clean, uncluttered furnishings that let the scenery breathe.

• Keep larger furniture in low, simple silhouettes so the natural horizon and flow of the stream remain clearly visible across the room.
• Balance the cool snow and dark stone by introducing warm wood finishes, such as natural oak or warm birch, which soften the cooler visual tones without competing for attention.
• Choose understated matte accents and textured woven fabrics in muted neutral shades to echo the organic elements of the winter landscape.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a clear palette of crisp snow white, cool slate, and deep charcoal black. Around this mural wallpaper, we suggest working with soft warm whites, muted pale greys, or pale pebble tones on adjoining walls and painted woodwork to maintain an open feel. For furniture upholstery, deep charcoal or off-black pieces will echo the darker rocks in the composition, while natural timber tones and earthy linen shades introduce gentle warmth to balance the cool, snowy backdrop.
