Wallpaper - The Hunt

Our The Hunt wallpaper captures classic sporting heritage through a dynamic vintage illustration created with Deborah Revell. The design centers on a rider in a vibrant red coat leaping a rustic wooden hedge on horseback, accompanied by a hound running along the ditch below and smaller riders in the distant fields. Fine engraved line work brings textured movement to the horse, vegetation, and landscape, set against an aged cream sky with subtle sky-blue washes. Made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions, this PVC-free wallpaper introduces a narrative, traditional character with an easy-to-hang finish.

In the room

The dramatic horizontal movement of the leap makes our design an eye-catching focal point, particularly on a wider uninterrupted wall where the full scenic composition can unfold naturally. In a study, library, or home office, it creates an atmosphere reminiscent of classic country estates. We also see this working beautifully in an entryway or dining room, placed behind lower sideboard furniture or along a main wall where the detailed line work remains visible.

Styling it

To complement the heritage character of this mural wallpaper, we suggest pairing it with traditional or country-inspired interiors. Dark wood finishes, such as antique mahogany, walnut, or warm oak, echo the period aesthetic and ground the room. Deep leather seating or tailored upholstered furniture creates a balanced, comfortable setting. Keep surrounding decorative objects classic and uncrowded so the lively narrative of the artwork remains the central focus.

Colour combinations

The palette features a rich scarlet red in the rider's coat, balanced by earthy greens in the foliage, deep charcoal and brown tones in the horse and hedgerow, and a soft, muted cream backdrop. To complement these tones, we suggest pairing the wallpaper with warm off-white, muted taupe, or soft sage paint on adjacent walls. For a richer, more enveloping feel, dark forest green or deep equestrian red on architectural trim and woodwork will highlight the vibrant accents in the motif.
