Wallpaper - Peace Sunrise on the Water

Peace Sunrise on the Water by Carson Overstreet captures an impressionistic morning scene across calm water, where soft pastel tones meet a quiet horizon. Our wallpaper brings together gentle powder blues, pale pinks, and pale buttery yellows in an expansive sky, mirrored in loose brushstrokes across the water below. A low, grounding treeline in muted olive and dark green anchors the center of the composition, giving structure to the open landscape. Printed as a made-to-measure mural on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture, this design offers a tranquil, painterly quality that opens up the visual perspective of any room.

In the room

We find this landscape works particularly well on wider, uninterrupted wall areas where the horizon line can stretch across the space without being broken up by tall cabinetry. In a bedroom, placing this design behind a low headboard allows the soft morning sky to become a serene focal point upon waking. It also works beautifully in a living room, study, or home office, where the open lake perspective introduces a sense of depth and visual calm. For smaller rooms or spaces with lower ceilings, the prominent horizontal composition and pale upper sky help create an impression of openness and breathing room.

Styling it

To complement the painterly, impressionist character of this design, we suggest keeping surrounding furniture relatively simple and grounded. Natural wood finishes in warm ash, bleached oak, or light walnut harmonize naturally with the earthy green tones of the shoreline.

Upholstery in neutral linens, soft off-white cottons, or gentle heathered textures lets the colors in the landscape stand out without competing for attention. Rather than adding heavy decorative patterns, we recommend letting this mural wallpaper carry the visual interest, accessorizing simply with ceramic vessels, soft matte pottery, or quiet, unadorned architectural details.

Colour combinations

The design is built around a delicate pastel palette of powder blue, pale blush pink, soft cream, and subtle morning yellow, contrasted against deep moss and olive greens along the shoreline.

When selecting paint for adjacent walls and woodwork, warm off-whites, creamy alabasters, or very pale greys offer a clean transition that keeps the room bright and cohesive. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, drawing out the deeper olive or muted sage green from the distant treeline for the skirting boards, door frames, or adjacent painted surfaces creates an elegant framing effect that ties the whole space together.
