Wallpaper - Purple Anemones

Our Purple Anemones wallpaper, created by Lovisa Burfitt, brings expressive botanical art to the wall with loose watercolor blooms and delicate paint splashes. Soft, rounded petals in lavender and deeper purple tones are anchored by dark flower centers, while bright green stems introduce a lively organic contrast against a clean white ground. The scattered floral composition creates an open, flowing rhythm that feels light and airy rather than structured. Made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture, this design adds a painterly personality to the room without overpowering the surrounding interior.

In the room

We see this floral design working particularly well in a bedroom or living room where the airy white ground can help keep the space feeling open and bright. Because the anemone blossoms are arranged with generous breathing room across the backdrop, our mural wallpapers work naturally on larger feature walls behind a bed or sofa without visual crowding. In a dedicated meditation room or quiet sitting area, the dreamy lavender tones and loose brushwork provide a gentle visual focus that sits comfortably on walls receiving soft natural daylight.

Styling it

The expressive, watercolor-like character of the artwork pairs naturally with classic and heritage-inspired interiors, as well as softer contemporary spaces. We recommend keeping larger furniture pieces relatively quiet in form and finish, allowing the painterly movement of the flowers to lead the room.

• Pair with warm, light-toned wood or softly painted off-white furniture to complement the clean background and keep the overall palette luminous.
• Introduce gentle matte finishes through linen drapery or woven upholstery in unbleached neutral tones, avoiding competing high-contrast patterns nearby.
• Subtle antique brass or understated dark metal accents can echo the deep centers of the anemone blooms and add grounded definition to the setting.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper is built around lavender and rich purple shades balanced by crisp botanical greens, dark contrasting flower centers, and an expansive white ground. When selecting paint colors for adjacent walls or woodwork, soft chalky whites and muted cream tones provide a seamless transition that honors the airy background. For a richer, more enveloping feel, dusty lavender, muted lilac, or a quiet sage green drawn from the leafy stems will harmonize beautifully with the floral motif without competing for attention.
